Quick update then off to bed!

It has been a very hectic but promising week! I had two auditions this week. I cannot go in to detail what they are but I am keeping my fingers crossed! I also found out what song I will be auditioning with for “Mary Poppins”. Supercalifragilistic…etc.  Though I am familiar with the song, I will have to get with Mr. Bill Newberry to work on it.

Tonight was a fun night, I got to go bowling with my church!

“The Single Mom’s Club” was AWESOME!

Over the weekend we saw “The Single Mom’s Club” and it was AWESOME!  Such a very well written and acted movie!  The highlight of the movie for me was seeing one of my acting mentors, Helen Ingebritsen!  She had a great scene with dialogue (she plays a piano teacher).  SHE DID AWESOME!!!  We also saw my daddy twice in a scene (at the birthday party at the Mexican restaurant about 30 minutes in to the movie).  As for me, hehehe, well guess what?  Yes, I was in it.  Yes, I saw me.  And yes, IT WAS THE BACK OF MY HEAD!!! LOL!  Oh well, if they ever give Oscars for “Best Back of Head” I will be a prime contender! :)  But that does not matter to me.  I am just sooo happy for Ms. Helen!!!

It pays to have forgetful parents, LOL…

Ten years ago yesterday was my “Gotcha Day”.  “Gotcha Day” is an term used by some parents in the adoption community to describe the day of adopting a child.  I like to think it means, “I ‘gotcha’, and I am never letting go!”  It is almost like having two birthdays in the year!  That being said, both my mom and dad and myself, forgot that yesterday was my Gotcha Day! LOL!  So we are celebrating tonight at my favorite all time restaurant, Texas Roadhouse to feast on my favorite all time food, steak!  My mommy also said she will let me know what my Gotcha Day gift is.  I can’t wait!  Once I find out I will post on here!

So happy for my friend Summer!

Last week I attended the viewing party of one of my “bestie” acting buddies, Summer Parker.  She had a featured role on “Star Crossed” on the CW Network!   The Atlanta acting scene is such a tight knit community (especially for us kids!), that when one of us gets a big job like Summer got, we ALL celebrate!  We had such an awesome time at her party and Summer did an AMAZING job!  She received Tweets from the producers and crew about how good she was and how much of a pleasure it was to work with her!  Below are some of the pictures of the party:

Bittersweet End :(

Yesterday was the last performance of Les Mis at the Aurora Theater.  My last show was Saturday night.  I have made some wonderful friends there.  Though I will be seeing Christa, Alma and Mabel again, it is the grown up cast I will miss because I will not see them on a daily basis like I did during the run of the show.  I am going to miss being “Young Eponine”,  all the backstage fun we had and how wonderfully nice everyone was to us kids.  I want to thank Justin, AC and Anthony for giving me the role.  I want to thank all the grown-ups involved in the production, especially all the actors I got to work with.  I have learned so much from all of you.  Because of you, I have found a new love in theater, especially musical theater...

Some good news, some bad news.

Because I want to end on a happy note, I will start with the bad news.  A few days ago we lost our dear sweet cat, FeFe.  My daddy found her lying on the floor Monday afternoon, curled up and peaceful.  We believe she may have passed away in her sleep.  She was 13 years old and appears to have lost a lot of weight recently so we are thinking she may have died of natural causes.  We buried her in our backyard and had a little vigil for her.  We used the flowers my parents and my grandma gave me for opening night at Les Mis to place on her grave.  She is going to be missed. :(

This is not her death photo. It's that it was taken a few years ago when she was half asleep. :)
